{wear} statement bags: say it with an exclamation point

11 Sep

I’m an accessories girl. Pair great shoes, bags, jewelry with jeans and a tee shirt and you can’t go wrong. I’m loving that the statement bag is on trend this season. It’s the punctuation mark of style. Exclamation points encouraged!

{obsessions} so clutch

19 Sep

I spent many years collecting clutches that I rarely even carried. I did a serious purse purge before I moved to my loft, so since then the little clutch-obsessed voice in the back of my head has been whispering to me that it’s time to restock. I’ve resisted, but today I gave into a little innocent browsing. Here are some highlights…

  1. Cynthia Vincent Clutch, Endless, $65
  2. Vintage Re-Issue Clutch, Fossil, $148
  3. Dog Tooth Clip Frame Purse, Topshop, $12

  8. Rebecca Minkoff Infinity Clutch, $350

mission organization: purse purge(d) – part 2

17 Mar

In times like these, I am thankful for my brutally decisive nature. Successfully decreasing purse collection by 30% qualifies as a medium victory for the day. If nothing else, I’ve made some space and will hopefully earn some cash from sales to make way for new lovelies to re-build my collection!

The lucky ones:

fendi, gucci, minkoff, coach, chloe, and dior - oh my!

Others were not so lucky…

mission organization: purse purge (part 1)

16 Mar

Each day I am tackling a new organizational project or packing a few boxes in preparation for the big move. Today begins a tough one – purses. I love them all…HOW WILL I DECIDE?!

The categories:

  1. Keep
  2. Sell
  3. Donate

The criteria:

  1. If it’s broken – fix or donate
  2. If it needs cleaning – try or donate
  3. If it’s a classic, designer piece – keep it
  4. If it’s a trendy piece – sell it
  5. If it’s in great shape & serves a specific purpose – keep it
  6. If you just love it too much – keep it

The starting point is slightly overwhelming…

Check back tomorrow to see how I do!
